Faux Studio

This is a faux studio shot... it really is just my bathroom. It has a window facing east and since the whole bathroom is white, the light bounces nicely onto the subject.

With a little photoshop magic, the picture has turned out quite nicely.

Different Process

I love this kid so much! I love taking pictures of her! I love her fair skin and her blue eyes! I love that you can process the pictures in different ways and both will work on her. She can be in a catalog right? I might be bias, but her mom agrees with me, so two people can't be wrong :)

There is something about Vintage and Miss E

I love using an vintage action when I edit Miss E's photos. Which is really too bad because she has these beautiful blue eyes that you can't see that after the vintage treatment. I just took these photos really quick when her and her mother were visiting us. The light was good but since the apartment was small, space was limited. I had her facing the light, next to the light and in open shade. She was done after a few minutes which is fine. She's 6 months old, it's to be expected. I can't wait until she can sit by herself, it will make taking photos a lot easier!

Magic of Editing

Kids always have a knack of getting hurt, especially on their faces right before or on picture days! I know my kids always did, and still do. For the first 3 years of my daughter's life, she would always get these red rash on her face. There was nothing I could do about it, except in photoshop. I've posted an example below where one side of her face was very rashy, but through the magic of editing, the rash is gone! Don't you just love magic?
